I got the kit too but i'm sadly lacking in sewing skills. I don't have a real Waldorf doll yet since they're too expensive but i have the autumn fairy and hopefully the Lapland doll is on her way.

I love anything handmade. But I also think it has to do with who the person is who made it for you.
I have fond memories of some homemade items for my doll that I received.
On time my mom was in the hospital and I missed her so much (couldn't visit - I was under 12 and back then it was a rule) so she hand made a dress for my Barbie. It made me feel special.
Now I can make my own things and everyone knows it so no one makes me anything. But I have fun creating for others now.

I loooove anything handmade! When I was younger my Mom made us Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and dolls similar to Cabbage Patch dolls. She made lots of clothing for our CP type dolls and I even made a few things. Sadly, I moved around so much in my early twenties that my dolls somehow got lost.
